Projects grounded in
working farms.
Moorwild works with farmers, landowners, researchers and organisations to develop practical projects that strengthen farm businesses and improve the environment. Our experience is rooted in the Somerset Levels and Moors.
How we can contribute to a partnership
Start with a practical farming question, the right people and a clear view of the work involved. Leadership, responsibilities, funding and outputs should be described accurately for each project.
Bring people together
Connect farmers, researchers, advisers, commercial partners and organisations around a shared practical question, with clear roles and responsibilities.
Shape a practical project
Develop project questions and trial ideas that reflect the day-to-day realities of working farms, including costs, labour, infrastructure and business viability.
Support planning and funding
Support funding applications and project planning, and help connect environmental objectives with farm constraints. Eligibility and awards remain decisions for each programme and funder; delivery roles are agreed project by project.
